Kangaroo Island is located off the coast of South Australia and is a 30 minute plane ride from Adelaide. There are a few options available to travel to this island. Firstly, there is a daily ferry service from Cape Jervis on mainland SA to Penneshaw, a major town on Kangaroo Island. You can take your car on this Sealink ferry or simply hire a car on the island. Secondly, you can also fly directly from Adelaide however these flights aren’t as frequent as the ferry.
